The short version

International Motors, LLC reported a problem with the exterior lighting headlights. Here is what owners need to know.

WHAT

When the high beams are activated, the low beams turn off. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

WHY IT MATTERS

Headlight low beam failure can reduce visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

WHAT TO DO

Take it to a dealer — they will update the body control module (BCM) software, free of charge.
