Shyft Group suspension seat mounting fasteners may have been improperly tightened.
The short version
Shyft Group reported a problem with the seats critical fasteners. Here is what owners need to know.
The suspension seat mounting fasteners may have been improperly tightened. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 207, "Seating Systems."
A seat with loose fasteners may not properly restrain an occupant during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Take it to a dealer — they will inspect and tightened or replace the fasteners as necessary, free of charge.
