Can-Am breather valve may not seal properly and allow moisture or water to enter the high voltage battery.
The short version
Bombardier Recreational Products, Inc. reported a problem with the thermal management air handling/filtration. Here is what owners need to know.
The breather valve may not seal properly and allow moisture or water to enter the high voltage battery.
Water in the battery can result in a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash. In addition, this could lead to a battery fire when parked or riding, increasing the risk of injury.
Take it to a dealer — they will install a new protection plate or replace the breather valve if necessary, free of charge.
