Blue Bird seat mounting fasteners may have been improperly tightened.
The short version
Blue Bird Body Company reported a problem with the seats critical fasteners. Here is what owners need to know.
The seat mounting fasteners may have been improperly tightened. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 207, "Seating Systems," 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages," and 222, "School Bus Passenger Seating and Crash Protection."
A seat with loose fasteners may not properly restrain an occupant during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Blue Bird will replace the seat fasteners, free of charge.
