The short version

Daimler Trucks North America, LLC reported a problem with the supply reservoir/tank. Here is what owners need to know.

WHAT

The air tank capacity may be too small, resulting in reduced braking performance. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 121, "Air Brake Systems."

WHY IT MATTERS

Reduced brake performance can extend the distance required to stop, increasing the risk of a crash.

WHAT TO DO

Take it to a dealer — they will inspect and replace the air tank or install an additional air tank, as necessary, free of charge.
