The short version
Altec Industries, Inc. reported a problem with the wiring power distribution module/ipdm. Here is what owners need to know.
The Power Distribution Module (PDM 10) circuit may experience a voltage spike, which can damage the Transfer Case Control Module (TCCM) and disrupt chassis functions, including the PTO switch, rearview mirror, or rearview camera.
A damaged TCCM and disrupted chassis functions can result in a loss of handling and control or brake performance, increasing the risk of a crash.
Altec will install a diode to the ignition hot circuit, free of charge.
