Tico Manufacturing Division vehicles may be equipped with a non-DOT brake line fitting, resulting in reduced braking performance.
The short version
Terminal Investment Corporation reported a problem with the supply hoses, lines/piping, and fittings. Here is what owners need to know.
The vehicles may be equipped with a non-DOT brake line fitting, resulting in reduced braking performance. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 121, "Air Brake Systems."
Reduced brake performance can extend the distance required to stop, increasing the risk of a crash.
Take it to a dealer — they will inspect and replace the fitting as necessary, free of charge.
