Jeep second-row seat head restraints may not lock in the upright position.
The short version
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) reported a problem with the mid/rear assembly head restraint. Here is what owners need to know.
The second-row seat head restraints may not lock in the upright position. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 202, "Head Restraints."
Head restraints that do not lock can result in an increased risk of injury to seat occupants during a crash.
Take it to a dealer — they will inspect and replace both second-row seat head restraints, as necessary, free of charge.
