Jeep vehicles are equipped with an incorrect cross car beam in the instrument panel.
The short version
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) reported a problem with the structure body. Here is what owners need to know.
The vehicles are equipped with an incorrect cross car beam in the instrument panel. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."
An incorrect cross beam may not adequately protect occupants in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Take it to a dealer — they will replace the cross beam, free of charge.
