Maserati headlights may be missing adjustment prevention caps, which can allow the headlights to be improperly adjusted.
The short version
Maserati North America, Inc. reported a problem with the exterior lighting headlights. Here is what owners need to know.
The headlights may be missing adjustment prevention caps, which can allow the headlights to be improperly adjusted. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamp, Reflective Devices and Associated Equipment."
Improperly aimed headlights can result in insufficient illumination of the road, reducing the driver's visibility, and increasing the risk of a crash.
Maserati North America will inspect and, if necessary, install one or two caps to cover the horizontal headlight aim adjustment mechanism, free of charge.
