Volvo passenger seat belt anchor may fail due to inadequate floor reinforcement.
The short version
Volvo Trucks North America reported a problem with the front anchorage. Here is what owners need to know.
The passenger seat belt anchor may fail due to inadequate floor reinforcement. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."
A seat belt anchor that fails will not properly restrain an occupant in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Take it to a dealer — they will install a new weld nut and washer, free of charge.
