The short version

Porsche Cars North America, Inc. reported a problem with the sensing system camera. Here is what owners need to know.

WHAT

The rearview camera image may not display when the vehicle is placed in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."

WHY IT MATTERS

A rearview image that does not display properly reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

WHAT TO DO

Take it to a dealer — they will update the driver assistance software, free of charge.
