Gulf Stream Coach wires in the taillight harness may be reversed, causing the turn signals to activate in the opposite direction as the driver intended.
The short version
Gulf Stream Coach, Inc. reported a problem with the exterior lighting turn signal. Here is what owners need to know.
Wires in the taillight harness may be reversed, causing the turn signals to activate in the opposite direction as the driver intended. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Turn signals that fail to indicate the driver's intention to change direction increase the risk of a crash.
Owners are advised not to tow their trailers until the repair has been completed, free of charge.
