Blue Bird windows may have illegible DOT markings.
The short version
Blue Bird Body Company reported a problem with the visibility glass, side/rear. Here is what owners need to know.
The windows may have illegible DOT markings. As such these windows fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 205, "Glazing Materials."
A missing DOT code mark may result in the window being replaced with an incorrect type of glass, increasing the risk of a injury.
Take it to a dealer — they will inspect and repair the glass etching, free of charge.
