Volvo service brake may take longer than expected to release.
The short version
Volvo Trucks North America reported a problem with the supply hoses, lines/piping, and fittings. Here is what owners need to know.
The service brake may take longer than expected to release. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 121, "Air Brake Systems."
A delayed brake release can increase the risk of crash.
Take it to a dealer — they will install an additional brake valve and fittings to the service brake pneumatic plumbing, free of charge.
