The short version

Triumph Motorcycles America, Ltd. reported a problem with the exterior lighting headlights. Here is what owners need to know.

WHAT

During pre-delivery inspection (PDI), the diagnostic tool may have loaded an incorrect headlight low beam configuration, causing the low beams to illuminate improperly. As such, these motorcycles do not comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

WHY IT MATTERS

Insufficient illumination from the headlight low beam can reduce rider visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

WHAT TO DO

Take it to a dealer — they will update the diagnostic software, free of charge.
