Novabus inadequate adhesion around the window frame may cause the glass to detach.
The short version
Nova Bus (US) Inc. reported a problem with the glass, side/rear critical fasteners. Here is what owners need to know.
Inadequate adhesion around the window frame may cause the glass to detach. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 217, "Bus Emergency Exits and Window Retention and Release."
The glass can fall out of the frame, increasing the risk of ejection and injury during a crash. Detached window glass can also become a road hazard for other vehicles, increasing the risk of a crash.
Nova Bus will inspect and replace the glass as necessary, free of charge.
