The short version

New Flyer of America, Inc. reported a problem with the instrument panel speedometer/odometer. Here is what owners need to know.

WHAT

The speedometer may not illuminate when the headlights are turned on. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 101, "Controls and Displays."

WHY IT MATTERS

An unlit speedometer cannot show the vehicle's speed, increasing the risk of a crash.
