Can-Am instrument cluster may reset, freeze, or go blank.
The short version
Bombardier Recreational Products, Inc. reported a problem with the electrical system instrument cluster/panel. Here is what owners need to know.
The instrument cluster may reset, freeze, or go blank. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 123, "Motorcycle Control and Displays," and FMVSS number 122, "Motorcycle Brake Systems."
An inoperative instrument cluster will fail to display critical safety information, such as vehicle speed and warning lights, increasing the risk of a crash.
The instrument cluster software will be updated over-the-air (OTA) or by a dealer, free of charge.
